When you see this archipelago for the first time, you feel as if time has stood still and you are leafing through the pages of a fairy tale book. Join two experienced and internationally award-winning landscape photographers on a journey of discovery through this archipelago in the heart of the Arctic Circle. Experience the unique light, which can only be found at this latitude, and immerse yourself in a dreamlike world of breathtaking landscapes, consisting of paradisiacal fjords, rugged mountains and picturesque fishing villages.
In winter, the beaches are frozen and everything is covered with a thick layer of white snow.
At this time of year, you have the opportunity to experience the most amazing spectacle the Arctic has to offer: the magical Northern Lights!
The time has come: in 2025 and 2026, the sun will reach the maximum of its current eleven-year solar cycle - the phase in which it produces particularly strong bursts of radiation and solar storms. This means an increased chance of geomagnetic storms, which will produce spectacular northern lights in all imaginable colors and shapes on our planet.

Night photographers.
In fairy tales, one often hears about enchanted villages built on coasts and bordered by surrounding mountains. In Lofoten, the fairy tale becomes reality: each village is picturesquely framed by flora and fauna paired with years of history and tradition.
The Lofoten Islands are still hardly inhabited and the untouched nature can be enjoyed in a fantastic way.
On this photo tour, we will stop at each of these incredibly photogenic places, and create impressive shots of breathtaking landscapes.
The trip is aimed at all photography enthusiasts and lovers of the Scandinavian region around the Arctic Circle. The difficulty of the trip is easy to moderate and sufficient fitness is required. It's a trip with a focus on photography and we don't eat in a restaurant every day because we have to be flexible to be in the perfect place when the Northern Lights appear. You will visit and photograph the most beautiful places in Lofoten, alternating at sunrise, sunset and night. During the trip, you will learn everything related to landscape photography from the theory of image capture, planning to post-processing. We start with the theoretical and technical basics and apply them in one of the most beautiful places on earth. We evaluate the recordings together and then get to know the workflows in post-production based on the existing files.
The goal of the trip is to return home with grandiose memories and captivating landscape shots.
Due to the sudden weather changes in the Arctic, it is difficult to create an exact program, but we know Lofoten like the back of our hand and will adjust the program day by day to give you the best experience. We will look for the best light during the day and the clearest sky at night. Nevertheless, we give an outlook on a possible program here. Pick-up and transport from/to the airport will of course remain provided.

Our luxury cabins are strategically located so that we can quickly reach the best places in both the north and the south.
Day 2
We will experience the first dawn in the southern part of the islands, between Reine and Hamnøy.
After a breakfast stop in a typical café, we stop on the way back to photograph the famous and fantastic Skagsanden beach, where at this time of the year in the morning the soft light of the low sun illuminates the mountain for us.
After lunch, we head north to the mythical Uttakleiv beach, also known as the beach of the dragon's eye, where the colors of the sunset are at their best.
For dinner, we will return to our cabins by the sea and relax while waiting for the long-awaited Northern Lights, the Aurora Borealis. We reach one of the best beaches for observing and photographing the aurora in the Flakstad area.
Day 3
For our second sunrise, one of the most beautiful scenes ever awaits us. We will head south and photograph various incredible places between Hamnøy and Sakrisøy. Here, time seems to have stopped many years ago, and the line between reality and magic is very thin.
The day continues with a visit to the last village at the southern tip of Lofoten, Å. The famous panoramic road E10 ends in this village, after which you can only reach the extreme southern tip of Lofoten on foot.
We will experience the sunset in a place surrounded by waterfalls, rivers, lakes and mountain peaks, all in a single scene - a landscape photographer's dream!
Return to our base, have a hot dinner and relax before another wild night of hunting for the Northern Lights.
This time we will do it in one of the most beautiful areas of Lofoten, where there is a lagoon. From here you can reach many incredible places in just a few minutes and experience truly captivating compositions with rivers, peaks, mountains and northern lights!
Day 4 and 5
Our adventure continues between waterfalls, mountains, wild beaches, fjords and colorful villages.
We wait for the sunrises under the colorful sky between the south and the Kilan area, we continue north to the sunsets and chase the clearest skies to best capture the Aurora Borealis.
A stop in the charming village of Nusfjord, located in a secluded fjord, is not to be missed, as well as various stops to taste typical food and some short hikes to reach incredible viewpoints, such as the hill above Sakrisøy, from which you can enjoy a 360-degree view of the characteristic part of Lofoten.
