Deadvlei

Which planet is this? It is the only planet with trees currently known. However, the trees in Deadvlei have been dead for more than 500 years. The trees grew in Namibia's Namib Naukluft National Park after rains caused a river to overflow, but died after sand dunes displaced the river. On this night panorama, high up in the distance, our Milky Way arches over a dead tree. The white clay floor seems to glow in the reflected starlight.
